Mailing a Thank You Card
To send a letter is a good way to go somewhere without moving anything but your heart. ~Phyllis Theroux
So often we allow our day to day activities to consume our lives because it’s incredibly easy to do! I have already told you to take ME time, family time, follow your dream time, and girl friend time… so exactly after all of that, what time is left?
I totally get it.
But one of the greatest feelings in the world is giving to others. I do not mean giving monetarily, but giving sincerely and from the heart no matter what the gift is. A gift of love, time, a listening ear, or a hug can all be very powerful and wonderful gifts. Giving uplifts others and creates joy in both the person delivering and the person receiving.
SO, sometime this week, I challenge you to trade watching your favorite show on your DVR, netflix, and/or cable and use that time to write a handwritten letter/note/card to the significant people in your life. I can assure you that the time, effort and love you put into your note will be felt as they read your thoughts.
SN: I remember getting hired into a job I really wanted. Once I got there, my manager told me that my handwritten thank you card put be above the others, and she just KNEW she had to have me working for her.
If something like that can be that meaningful to someone you don’t know, imagine how the people you love would feel.
So get to writing!!
