“It started me thinking about all the REAL women for my daughter to know about and look up too, REAL women who without ever meeting Emma have changed her life for the better. My daughter wasn’t born into royalty, but she was born into a country where she can now vote, become a doctor, a pilot, an astronaut, or even President if she wants and that’s what REALLY matters. I wanted her to know the value of these amazing women who had gone against everything so she can now have everything” -Jaime Moore Photography
Mini as Coco Chanel- Little Girl Costume Ideas
I couldn’t have said it better myself.
It is because of this article, I chose to tell Mini about an incredible woman that has done many of the things she aspires to do. It took all of five seconds for her to give up Thelma from Scooby Doo for the incredible Coco Chanel.
It doesn’t have to be a “Holiday of Dress Up” for us to teach our little ones (boys and girls) about the people that paved the way for us. There are so many opportunities available to us because of the unafraid men and women determined to break human, race and gender barriers. I’ve chosen to use this day not only teach Mini to spread love instead of fear, but also as a history lesson and tribute to those of our past.
Thank you for sharing Jaime!
